User Acquisition
User acquisition for apps and SaaS
Acquire users who are worth more than they cost.
We build user-acquisition engines across paid and organic channels — engineered for quality and economics, not just install or sign-up counts.
User acquisition for apps and SaaS is not about installs or sign-ups; it is about acquiring users whose value exceeds their cost within a payback period you can fund. That requires measurement that follows users past the first session, channels chosen for the users they bring, and creative that sets honest expectations.
We run user acquisition across Meta, Google App Campaigns, TikTok, Apple Search Ads and other channels, optimised for activation, retention and revenue, and reported by cohort.
The problem
User acquisition often chases the cheapest users, who churn fast and never pay back. Without an economics-first approach, you scale a leaky top-of-funnel and wonder why growth doesn't translate to revenue.
What we do
- Configure synchronized, multi-channel user-acquisition ad systems
- Target verified buyer demographics based on historical transactional data
- Optimize ad bids toward product activation checkouts rather than raw clicks
- Calculate acquisition spending bounds using actual cohort payback speeds
What you get
- Multi-channel user execution rules targeting paid and search engines
- Qualified user targeting structures loaded directly into ad profiles
- Dynamic cost modeling templates calculating ad spend payout dates
Systematic, economics-led user growth directly scaling active company revenues.
Who this is for
- Consumer apps, fintech and subscription apps scaling paid acquisition
- SaaS companies with self-serve sign-up and trial funnels
- Teams whose installs or sign-ups grow while active users do not
What's included
- Measurement plan with your MMP, Firebase or product analytics
- Channel mix and budget allocation by cohort performance
- Creative testing across channels
- Cohort reporting on activation, retention and payback
Reading cohorts, not campaigns
User acquisition decisions are made on cohorts: groups of users acquired in the same week from the same source, tracked over time. We report each cohort's activation rate, retention at day 1, 7 and 30, conversion to paying and revenue to date, alongside its acquisition cost. That shows which channels and campaigns bring users who stay and pay, even when their cost per install looks higher.
Budget moves toward the sources with the best cohort economics, with a portion kept for testing new channels and creative. Because early cohort data is noisy, we use leading indicators — activation and early retention — to make faster decisions, and confirm them as revenue data matures. We also work with your product team on the onboarding steps that most affect activation, because a better first session improves the economics of every channel at once.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good cost per install?
There is no universal benchmark. What matters is whether users acquired at that cost activate, retain and pay back within your target period.
Which channels work best for app user acquisition?
Commonly Meta, Google App Campaigns, TikTok and Apple Search Ads, with others depending on audience. We allocate by cohort quality, not install volume.
How do you measure user acquisition on iOS?
With SKAdNetwork, modelled conversions and blended checks, because App Tracking Transparency limits user-level tracking for users who do not opt in.
Should we use incentivised installs to grow quickly?
Rarely. Incentivised installs inflate install counts with users who wanted the reward, not the app, and they can distort app store rankings and algorithms. Quality-focused acquisition is usually cheaper per retained user.
Pricing: monthly retainers by region
Every engagement is a monthly retainer priced on scope — never a percentage of ad spend. The range depends on the number of channels, markets and the depth of tracking and CRM work involved.
