Persona Building
Buyer persona research and development
Know exactly who you're talking to.
We build research-based buyer and user personas — needs, triggers, objections, and channels — so your targeting, messaging, and creative hit real people, not a vague audience.
Personas are useful when they come from research and useless when they come from imagination. A good buyer persona tells your team what a specific type of customer is trying to achieve, what triggers the search, what they compare, what worries them and where they look for answers — so targeting, messaging and sales conversations all aim at the same person.
We build personas from customer interviews, CRM and sales data, search behaviour and win-loss analysis, and turn them into practical guidance for ads, content and sales.
The problem
Generic targeting produces generic results. Without sharp personas, messaging is bland, targeting is wasteful, and creative tries to speak to everyone and resonates with no one.
What we do
- Research primary customers using qualitative interviews and transaction data
- Document deep user personas containing exact needs, triggers, and objections
- Map each profile persona directly to optimal channels and content types
- Operationalize persona insights directly across active ad targeting parameters
What you get
- Research-backed, detailed buyer and user persona blueprints
- Channel and message alignment matrix mapping for each persona profile
- Practical execution guides for ad copy, layout patterns, and channels
Ad targeting and sales outreach aiming strictly at specific, real buyers.

- Teams entering new segments or markets
- Businesses whose ad creative is not resonating
What's included
- Customer and lost-deal interviews

- Messaging and creative guidance per persona
Making personas usable
Personas fail when they end up as slide decks nobody opens. We produce them in formats teams actually use: a one-page brief per persona for creative and copy, a list of the questions and objections each persona raises for sales and content, and targeting and channel notes for media buyers. Each brief includes direct quotes from interviews, because real buyer language makes better ads and landing pages than marketing paraphrase.
We then test the personas in market. Creative angles written for each persona run against each other, and landing pages are adapted to their priorities; results show whether the segmentation holds up or needs revising. Personas are revisited when the product, market or customer mix changes, rather than treated as permanent truth.
Frequently asked questions
How do you research buyer personas?
Through interviews with recent customers and lost prospects, analysis of CRM and sales data, search and review research, and input from your sales team.
How many personas should we have?
Usually two to four that genuinely differ in needs and buying behaviour. More than that is hard for teams to use.
How are personas used in paid media?
They shape creative angles, offers and landing pages. With broad targeting now common, creative written for a specific persona is how ads reach that persona.
How many customer interviews do personas need?
Often eight to fifteen per major segment is enough to see consistent patterns, supplemented by CRM data and sales input. More interviews help when segments are very different.
